Background
ASEAN countries enjoy abundant natural resources and a large area of land. As close neighbors, Guangxi and ASEAN countries share similar crops and natural conditions. The cooperation between China and ASEAN is flourishing. Last September, the 1st China（Guangxi）-ASEAN Conference on Agricultural Science and Technology Cooperation was successfully held in Nanning of Guangxi, China, which attracted 350 participants home and abroad. To push forward further exchanges and cooperation on agricultural science and technology,Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GXAAS) is organizing the 2nd China（Guangxi）-ASEAN Conference on Agricultural Science and Technology Cooperation, which will take place in Nanning of Guangxi, China, from 14 to 18 September, 2018. The details are as follows.

We warmly welcome participants from international organizations like IRRI, agricultural departments, research institutes and universities of ASEAN countries. Domestic participants will be from provincial agricultural institutes, universities and enterprises.
There’s no registration fee. GXAAS will cover expenses associated with accommodation and international transport for ASEAN invited speakers. For other ASEAN participants, GXAAS will shoulder accommodation and domestic transport during the meeting time in Nanning.
Call for presentation
We warmly welcome oral presentation. Participants who want to give a presentation shall submit the title and abstract (300-500 words) to the organizer, and prepare the presentation in PPT format (15-20 minutes).
About the Alliance
The China-ASEAN Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, proposed by GXAAS and was supported by many institutions from China and ASEAN countries during the 2017 conference, will be formally established at 2018 conference. We warmly welcome institutions from China and ASEAN countries to join the Alliance to enhance the cooperation between China and ASEAN.
